We have an opportunity available for an experienced technician at Precision Automotive TD located in the beautiful historic downtown, The Dalles Oregon.
We service domestic, Asian, and most European makes and models.
Position will include diagnostics, general maintenance, and repair. Journeyman-level skills are preferred, ASE certifications are a plus. We have a newly remodeled shop that is heated in the winter and cooled in the summer. We also have a full kitchen with a breakroom.
Diesel Mechanic Duties and Responsibilities
●Diagnose and repair issues in diesel engines
●Diagnose and repair issues with hydraulics, brakes, transmission, steering, and other systems
●Perform preventative maintenance
●Maintain a clean and safe workplace
Diesel Mechanic Requirements and Qualifications
High school diploma or GED certificate (preferred
Valid driver's license (CDL strongly preferred)
Diesel technician or mechanic degree a plus
Experience with small diesel engine repair
Some welding experience required
Mechanical skills a tech
Basic computer skills
Basic math skills

Depending on experience and qualifications, pay will range from $50,000 - $100,000 with another $11,000+ in benefits including paid vacations, sick days and holidays, health dental and vision insurance, 401k and paid training. We run a Monday through Friday 8am-5pm work week - no weekends!
